Talk on WhatsApp with people we don't have in contact with.

Did you know that we can chat with anyone who has Whatsapp without having to add them to our contacts first? One of our iOS tutorials that looks silly, but isn't.

It can be done by creating a new contact with that phone number. This gives us the possibility of being able to chat, call, make a video call with that person. It is somewhat tedious and can violate your privacy in case you do not want that person to see your contact photo.

Now with a mere URL we can write to him, call him through of the most used messaging app in the world without having to add him to our contact list.

Do you know how convenient it is to send the URL of the person you want to share and the contact that receives it just click the link to start chatting with him? It is quite useful and will save time, especially for the recipient of the message.

How to talk on WhatsApp with a person we don't have among our contacts:

The action to be performed is somewhat rudimentary. We hope that in the future the developers of the most used messaging application in the world will simplify and improve it.

The link we must share is the following:

In the "X" we must put the telephone number of the contact, headed by the country code. In Spain we must put "34", followed by the telephone number. An example would be https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=34123456789

In this way, the recipient of that link will open Whatsapp directly in a chat with the owner of that mobile number.

Chat with someone we don't have in contact with

This is also interesting, for example, for companies. Putting that link on their web pages, social networks, etc. will allow anyone to contact them by Whatsapp quickly.

We can even do it for ourselves. If you want to talk to someone you have their number but you don't want to add them to your contacts so they won't see your profile picture or any other reason, we can create that URL with that number, in our web browser, thus creating a conversation with it.

What do you think of this function? We loved it.
