misleading Apple Watch
After publishing the article where we collect all the history of the breakdown of our Apple Watch, the feedback was very high. Comments, tweets, emails reached us talking about topics very similar to ours.
We also get comments disrespecting us. We have eliminated these for using disrespectful terms, where they told us, basically, that we did not have to claim since the watch was out of warranty. Things can be said well without disrespecting anyone.
We are going to put some order in all this and we are going to try to make things a little clearer in this new opinion piece.
iPhone faults caused by liquids:
Before we get to the point with the Apple Watch, we want to make it clear that in regards to the feedback we've received due to breakdowns on iPhoneDue to liquid issues, we disagree on many of them.
Apple has never stated or incited the use of an underwater iPhone. What you have advertised is that it is resistant to splashing water and even to accidental drops in water, where it can be submerged up to 50 cm, we understand.
That is why it is normal that Apple does not cover breakdowns caused by improper use of mobile phones under water. You can be lucky and submerge it without the smartphone suffering. Everything will depend on how you have taken care of it, the falls it has had and that may have affected the internal rubbers that prevent water from entering the interior of the device. But it is not most convenient to use it under water.
Apple's deception injures Apple Watch to death:
As for the Apple Watch everything changes. Apple It does encourage you to use it in contact with water. You can see it in his videos.
Here's that misleading we're referring to. In a nutshell, Apple encourages us to use the Apple Watch for swimming and many other water sports.
If, as a person from Apple support told us and we later read on the web, there are many factors that can cause the internal rubbers to deteriorate and allow access by the water to the device, why do they sell it as submersible?
Yes, it is submersible because it allows you to do all kinds of water sports and patatin, patatán. But even so, why don't they inform users, or specify a little more in their , about the factors that can cause you to irreversibly damage your watch?
As we mentioned, knowing that it was out of warranty, we were going to bear the cost of the repair. Seeing that they didn't give us the option to do so, that's where our anger came from. Pissed off on two sides. One for feeling cheated as to the water resistance of the watch. On the other, knowing that in order to enjoy our Apple Watch, we should buy a new one.
In short, and settling the issue, the conclusion is the following: If you want an Apple Watch to last a long time, even if it can be submerged under water, DON'T DO IT.
I still think that to monitor your swimming exercises it is one of the best watches on the market. It can be used for this, but thinking that I want my next Apple Watch to last as long as possible, I bought a Xiaomi Band 4 for swimming, to take it to the beach, pool .
Greetings and see you.
