If you don't know, every year an event is held that rewards the best photos of 2o19 taken with iPhone. A contest to which you have to subscribe to be able to participate in it and that offers us wonderful snapshots, as you can see below.

This year no Spanish photography has opted for the award. Only in the 2016 edition, two photos taken by Spaniards competed for the prize.

Thousands of candidates from more than 140 countries have participated this year, in each of the 18 categories to which images can be sent. Animals, abstract, architecture, children, flora, landscapes are some of them.

Without further ado we show you the four winners and at the end of the article we tell you how to participate in the 13th edition of this photographic event.

In this contest, the best photos are awarded by categories, but the highest honors go to four images that are awarded the following prizes:

Gabriella Cigliano (Italy) is the grand prize winner. The photograph is titled “Big Sister” and is taken in Zanzibar (Africa) with a iPhone X.

Diogo Lage (Portugal) has been awarded with the first prize of the IPPAWARDS 2019. The photo is titled “Sea Rays” and was captured at Santa Rita Beach (Portugal) with a iPhone SE.

Yuliya Ibraeva (Russia) took second prize in the contest with her photo titled "Sorry, no movie today." A snapshot taken in Rome (Italy) with a iPhone 7.

Third prize:

Peng Hao (China) has been the one who has taken the third prize. Personally, it is the photo that I like the most of all. It is titled "Al otro lado" and was made in Nevada (USA), during a sandstorm that hit the Burning Man festival. She was caught with a iPhone X

It has been demonstrated that to take good photos you don't need to have the latest iPhone on the market.

How to participate in IPPAWARDS 2020:

You'll have to do it before March 31, 2020, the deadline to subscribe to it. You will also have to take into account the following:

  • To qualify for the prizes you must take the photos with an iPhone or iPad.
  • These images should not be pre-published anywhere.
  • Posts on personal accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) are eligible.
  • Photos should not be modified in any desktop image processing program, such as Photoshop. It's okay to use photo editing apps for iOS.
  • Use of any iPhone is allowed.
  • Additional lenses can be used for iPhone.
  • In some cases, we may be asked for the original image to verify that it was taken with an iPhone or iPad. Photos that cannot be verified are disqualified.
  • Submissions must be the original size or no smaller than 1000 pixels in height or width.
