Insert data into an Excel table from a photograph
All users using the Excel application on their iOS devices are in luck. We have a function that will save us a lot of time when entering data.
We have all passed data from a written table printed on paper, to our excel sheets. It is a tedious and boring job that, we think, nobody likes to do. Surely if you do, more than once you have thought that being in the 21st century, why have they not devised a system that does this process automatically?
Thank god at Microsoft they have implemented it and we can make use of it. We explain how.
AVISO: It is something that, for now, can only be used by people who are registered in the BETA program of this application. If you are not, you will not have this feature enabled until it is officially released by Microsoft in one of the future updates of the Excel app.
Automatically insert data from an excel table from a photo:
In the following video you can see the process. If you do not clarify much, we explain how to do it below.
The first thing we have to do is access the Excel app and create a new spreadsheet.
Once we have created it, click on the option characterized by a table and a photo camera, which appears in the bottom menu of the screen.

The camera of our device will open and with it, we must focus on the table from which we want to extract the data. Once focused, we capture and edit it to balance the table. After doing so, click on “Done” .
Now it's time to check that the data has been inserted correctly. The application will give us the possibility to check them and correct them in case there are errors. Once the corrections have been made, whenever they have to be made, click on "insert" and we will have the data entered in our excel sheet.
What do you think? A great and very useful tool that if you don't have it active yet, you have to wait for the update that implements it to be released.
Greetings.
