Do not automatically play videos on Facebook
If you have not touched the settings of the Facebook app, surely the videos that appear on your wall are played automatically. This means that, if we are connected to a mobile data network, we consume a lot of data and, also, the autonomy of the battery will suffer.
By disabling the automatic playback option of videos, we will save data and reduce battery consumption when using the app.
Here we will tell you where that function is hidden that Facebook “hides”.
How to disable the option to automatically play videos on Facebook:
To perform this operation, we must access the application settings. To do this, click on the stripes that appear in the bottom menu of the screen.
Access Facebook settings
Once the menu appears, we go down to the bottom to click on the “Settings and privacy” button and then click on “Settings”. Within it, we go down to the bottom looking for the "Videos and photos" menu within the "Multimedia content and contacts" category.
Video and photo settings options
Now the options corresponding to the sound, videos, photos and 3D photos of the application will appear. Of all of them, the one that interests us is “Autoplay”. Click on it and we will have to select the one that we marked in the following screenshot.
Disable automatic video playback on Facebook
Obviously this is a matter of taste. You can select the one that best suits your preferences, but if you want to save data and battery consumption, you must activate the one we are talking about.
This way, when a video appears on our Facebook wall, it will play as long as we want it to. Clicking on the "Play" button that will appear on it, we can see it.
