Mark all emails as read
With this iOS tutorial we are going to avoid doing something that happens to almost all of us. When we enter the native Mail app and see that we have a large number of unread emails, what we do is mark all the emails as read one by one. It is a way to prevent the red balloon that indicates the amount of received and unread mail from increasing without stopping.
But this solution is exhausting if we have 100, 200 or 1,000 unread emails. Apple knows this, and therefore makes our work easier. In a very simple way, we can mark all emails on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as read.
To do this, follow the steps indicated below.
How to mark all mail as read on iPhone and iPad:
The first thing we have to do is enter the native Mail application and once inside, go to the "inbox" or the mail account that we want. There we will find all the emails received recently.
All those emails that have a blue circle are those that have not been read. Now what we could do is go one by one marking them as read, something very heavy to do when we have a large number of unread emails. Since what we are interested in is marking them all as read, we click on "Edit", which is located at the top right on all iOS devices.
Click on EDIT
Now we will have to press the option that appears at the bottom, which says “Mark all”. Clicking on this option will mark all emails, both read and unread.
Choose the option Mark all
When you click on "Mark all", a menu will automatically appear, in which 2 options appear:
- Dial with flag.
- Mark as read.
Since what we are interested in is marking all emails as read, we click on this last option.
Mark all mail as read on iOS
After clicking on "Mark as read", we will see how all those emails that previously had a blue circle to the left now appear with nothing. And most importantly, the little red balloon has stopped marking the mail we had to read.
And in this simple way, we can mark all emails on iPhone and iPad as read and remove, with a stroke of the pen, all emails still to be read.
