Growth of the most important social networks
A few days ago, the Sensortower platform launched a study that shows the growth of the main social networks, during the first quarter of 2019. From it, it can be concluded that while some stagnate their growth or lose users, Twitter has increased the number of new users by a high percentage.
The four most important social networks Facebook , Instagram , Twitter and Snapchat , registered global installations of more than 376 million, during the first quarter of 2019 in the App Store and Google Play.This represents a combined growth of 3.1% in the last year.

According to SensorTower estimates, Twitter led growth adding 16% more downloads compared to the same quarter of 2018.

A Twitter 4.9 million more new users arrived in the last quarter than in 1Q18, reaching a total of 35.5 million worldwide. This increase is mainly due to growth in some regions of Southeast Asia. Indonesia experienced 101% growth, Vietnam increased 52% and the Philippines increased 50% compared to the first quarter of 2018.
Facebook and Instagram increased the number of installations of their apps by 5.2% and 0.04% respectively. In this way Facebook reached 176.2 million and Instagram 111.3 million new installations.
Snapchat was the only app that fell in the number of installs compared to the first quarter of 2018. This analysis shows a decrease of -4.1% passing from 55.8 million to 53.5 million installations. This fall reveals the bad moment that the ghost's social network is going through worldwide. It is a platform widely used in the US and Arab countries, but in the rest of the world .
