A few days ago we told you that Instagram was trying to promote IGTV For this reason, it had decided to launch a series of courses or guides for it. But it had not been the only move. They had also opted for videos posted on IGTV to be posted on the users' profile or feed.
There is an option to disable IGTV videos in profile and feed
This option for many users is enabled by default. That is why, if they uploaded a video to IGTV, it was automatically added to the users' feed.Something that, for some could be something positive but for others not. But posting IGTV videos on the profile is not mandatory.
The option
So that your IGTV videos do not appear on your profile, we must go to our Instagram TV "channel". Once in it, we have to follow the steps to upload a video. That is, press "+" and enter a title and description for the video.
Right below you will see an option that says "Publish a preview". If this option is activated, if you don't want the IGTV videos to be published on your profile, you have to deactivate it. Now, if you want them to appear, keep the option activated and if you had it deactivated you would have to activate it.

In addition, Instagram also offers us more information about this option if we click on "Learn more" and, for example, informs us that if we delete the IGTV from the profile or the feed, it will not be removed from our Instagram TV channel.
If this was your case and you had the option activated by default, putting into practice what you have read above will prevent it from being shared directly in the feed. This way it will remain alone in the IGTV section and it will not occupy a place in your profile.
