Youtube stories come to iOS
We didn't have enough with Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp now they have also reached Youtube. Ephemeral stories have been a success and, therefore, all platforms have introduced them into their interfaces. A phenomenon that launched Snapchat to fame and from which many social networks and messaging apps are nourished today.
The Youtube stories have come to stay. A new feature that is enabled, only, for content creators who have more than 10.000 subscribers A new communication channel that, well used and focused, can give creators a lot of joy.
We have it turned on and just launched our first stories. Stop by to see them on our APPerlas TV profile. Select the “Stories” option and tell us what you think of this new feature.
How Youtube Stories Work:
They are somewhat different from anything we know.
The interface is very similar to the one we can have in Instagram Stories.

As you can see, from the recording screen we can choose filters, lenses, change the camera, activate the flash. Once we record the video, which can be up to 15 seconds, we can add text, stickers, more filters, music, as you can see in the following screenshot:

The duration of these stories, unlike other social networks, is 7 days. After that week, the published videos/photos will disappear.
Also, you won't need to be a channel subscriber to access your stories. We can access the profile of the channel we want, scroll to the part where we have the channel categories available, and look for the "Stories" option.
Youtube Stories from APPerlas
At the moment, YouTube stories are only available from the mobile app. We can access them from the channel profile, as we have mentioned before, or from the lower menu « Subscriptions ». In this way, in the upper part of the screen, the YouTube Stories of the channels that we follow and that have published stories will appear with a red circle.(If you don't get them, please be patient. This feature is slowly being activated.)

How to post Youtube stories:
If you have a channel with more than 10,000 subscribers and you want to debut in Stories, you must do the following:
- Click on the icon from where we can upload videos. It is located at the top of the screen and is characterized by a camera icon with a "+" inside it.
- Now a menu will appear in which we will have to press the "History" option.
Story Option
This way, you will be able to upload your Youtube stories. In addition, once you publish it, YouTube users will be able to write to you and the number of visits your story has received will appear.
