Today we are going to teach you how to control the mobile data we consume. In other words, we won't need any other app, since our iPhone will take care of everything.
Surely if we have a somewhat reduced data rate, we are always aware of what we spend or stop spending. That's why we immediately headed to the App Store and looked for a app with which to carry all this spending . We have analyzed some or the other, and the truth is that the vast majority comply with what is established.
But in this case, we are going to show you how to do it without having to install anything. That is to say that in iOS we have this function already by default. So we don't need to install anything, just follow the steps we give you.
How to control mobile data from iOS
We have already explained to you previously how we can see how each app that we have installed consumes. By following the steps that we give you in the article that we have left you, we will be able to see the consumption that each app does .
But if what we want is to see the monthly consumption of everything, we are going to explain how. We go to the device settings and click on the tab «Mobile data» .
Once here, we will see all the available options that our operator gives us. But what we are interested in is seeing the consumption, therefore, we scroll through this menu until we find the tab in which the consumption appears. This tab is called "Current Period" .
Control mobile data from settings
We'll see what we've spent here. Our advice is that we find out when the data is restored and automatically restore the settings that day. With this we get that each month the counter starts from zero and therefore we can keep a good control.
To do this, we go to the bottom of this screen, just after the applications and we will see that there is a tab with the name of «Reset statistics» .
Reset statistics every month
So each month, we will keep track of our consumption. If we don't reset the statistics, they will be added month by month and therefore we will lose control.
Let's hope that in the future iOS, Apple will give us the possibility to add a widget with the data we consume. This would certainly come in very, very handy.
