Silent mode and WhatsApp vacation mode
WhatsApp does not stop adding interesting functions because the competition with other apps, like Telegram, is making them progress very quickly. Gone are those years in which the updates of Whatsapp did not bring anything new, do you remember?
Apparently, and according to comments on the Wabetainfo blog (a place where the news that will come to WhatsApp are discussed), the developers of the most used messaging application on the planet are working on two new functions coming soon to iOS
One of them, the silent mode, is now available on Android and, shortly, we'll be able to enjoy it on our iPhone. The other one, the vacation mode, is still in development and, apparently, it will appear earlier in iOS than in Android .

Both functions come to satisfy many users, including us. Would you like to archive conversations and not return to the chat menu when you receive a new message in them? soon it will be possible. We explain everything below:

Currently, when we archive a chat, WhatsApp automatically unarchives it once a new message is received, right?
Thanks to the Vacation Mode function, things will change. When this feature is enabled, muted archived chats will not be unarchived until you disable it. Archiving a muted group thanks to Vacation mode will make the group chat sleep on file, so it will never stop being archived, which is what happens today when you receive a message in it. To see the messages received in that group, you will need to access the archived chats.

Silent mode on WhatsApp:
This new mode allows you to hide the red balloon of new messages, which appears on the application icon, for conversations that we have silenced.
The truth is that it is annoying to see that you have new WhatsApp and, when accessing the app, see that they are messages from a group or chat that you have muted. Thanks to this feature, you will never see the red notification balloon when you receive a message in muted chats and groups.
As we have mentioned, this function is already available on Android. In iOS we have to wait, but we have to warn you that the function will be enabled and there will be no way to deactivate it.
