How to use your mobile less
iOS, since version 12, allows us to monitor the usage time that we do on our iPhone and iPad. But it also allows us to configure the device to avoid excessive use of it.
This tutorial is focused on anyone who wants to use their mobile less but, without a doubt, it is indicated to control the use that the smallest members of the house make of these devices.
Apple adds features to control one of the biggest addictions facing humanity.You have to use mobiles with knowledge. Using it more than a certain time a day is inadvisable. That is why we are going to teach you how to configure it to prevent this addiction from going further.
Set iPhone to use less cellular:
Within the function usage time, we have several options available. All of them are focused so that we use our device less. These are the 4 functions that we can configure.
Setup Options
We tell you what each one is for.
- Inactivity time: Activating it, we will define a range of hours. In that range, we can only use the apps that we choose in the "Always allowed" menu, which we mention below, and the calls.
- App usage limits: We can define the exact time we want to use each type of application.In this way we will limit its use. This section is categorized by categories. An example of configuring this option would be to configure that we can only play the games installed on our iPhone for 1 hour a day.
Control the usage time of the apps
- Always allowed: Already mentioned above, in this section we choose the apps that will always be available regardless of the period of inactivity time we configure.
- Content and privacy: In this option we can block different aspects of the applications.
We can also see that under these 4 functions to control iPhone usage, we see a call “Use Code for Screen Time” . You can configure this and it will allow you to enter a code so that, once the stipulated time of use for a group of apps is consumed, we can skip it and continue using them.
