The information that Flyover Country provides is really interesting
Due to the activation of Airplane Mode, we can know little about it. Until now, since the University of Minnesota has downloaded a app with which we will be able to know, at all times, that we are flying over.
The way to save the track offline
The application, Flyover Country, gives us information of all kinds. Not only will we be able to know what city or country we are flying over at that moment, but we will also be able to know which geographical features we are flying over, knowing information about their formation, if there are fossil records or the resources that can be obtained, among others.
To configure this app we will have to press the icon «+», Start path , on the main screen. Once this is done, with the chosen plane, we will be able to select the landscapes that interest us and if we want to establish the route by clicking on the map or by searching. The latter is the best option.
The tour once created
With the route established, we will have to click on the cloud icon, Press to load , for the app to load the data and, finally, Save offline , to have access to it on the plane through geolocation.To access the saved data, we can do so by clicking on the diskette icon.
The app also has a series of guides. The terrain guides, those that show us all the data on a terrain, are mainly focused on the US. On the other hand, the guides to recognize clouds and landscapes are useful in all places, and will allow us to distinguish the different terrains and clouds, as well as to know more about their formation.
A highly recommended app if you are interested in knowing what you are flying over. Currently it is only in English, so if you know the language, don't hesitate to download it.
