Detect and delete applications that you rarely use
If you have the iPhone full and you lack storage space, we are going to teach you how to free it up. We are going to do it by uninstalling applications that you do not use or use very little, why do you want them on your device? Whenever you need them you can download them again.
Also, there is an option in iOS that allows us to delete apps automatically. The iPhone detects apps you don't use and removes them to free up storage space.
But if you don't want to do it automatically, we'll show you where to see the apps you use the least and what they take up on your mobile and/or tablet.
Detect and delete apps you don't use:
To know what we use the applications we have on our device, we must access the terminal settings. Once inside, we access the "General" option. After that, we look for "iPhone Storage" and press it. What we are going to find is the following:
Detects the use you make of apps
As we can see, the storage space of our iPhone appears at the top and the distribution of categories that occupy the space used.
If we go down the screen, we will see our list of applications ordered according to how they occupy more or less megabytes. It is there where we can see which apps we use more and which less. This is revealed by the date of last use of each of them.
For example, in our case, we can see that the game «The Room Pocket» , which occupies 375.5 mb , we haven't used it since March 30.Is it worth it to have it taking up space? We don't mind having it there because we have plenty of storage space. But if we were tight on storage, we wouldn't mind deleting apps we haven't used for a while.
That is why in this way, we can detect the apps that we use the least and determine whether to delete them or not.
Deleting them does not mean that we cannot download it when we need it. It's something that people have a hard time understanding. They have apps installed that they don't use, normally, just in case they need it. We encourage you to delete them and when you need it, download it again.
We hope you found this tutorial interesting and if so, share it with people who have iOS devices who might be interested.
Greetings.
