It seems that Apple is taking the security of its users very seriously.
For this they have corrected some errors and bugs and have added the warning for unsafe websites.
Safari, your best ally: alerts you to unsafe websites
Cupertino recently published the new update of iOS 11.3.
It happened after the March KeyNote. First it came to the new iPad, and later to the rest of the compatible devices.
As we already know, security and privacy for Apple is very important, as we have seen on previous occasions.
In the iOS version 11.3 se makes it more visible, especially in your native web browser:
- Safari helps protect privacy by auto-filling usernames and passwords, only after you select them in a web form field.
- Also includes prompts in the smart search field when interacting with password or credit card forms on unencrypted web pages.
Now when you access a non-secure website, you will be able to browse normally, but if you click anywhere on this website to enter any data (only if you click on the box where you can put your username, password, etc.) , an alert will appear in the navigation bar of Safari
unsafe website
This alert will indicate, in red color and with an exclamation mark, website not secure.
Obviously Apple will let you choose to continue with the introduction of your personal data or not, as you see fit.
Smart Notifications in Safari
For some time now, all web pages must have a security certificate, they must be encrypted. Especially those in which we can enter personal and private data, such as an email.
Web pages that are considered safe are those whose URL starts with Https, instead of Http.
But many times we can overlook performing this check. Without knowing it, we entered an unsecured web page, which could use our personal data fraudulently.Especially in the iPhone, where the URL bar is sometimes hidden when browsing the web itself.
To avoid this situation, Apple has enabled this prompt in Safari.
