In the social network of Instagram, if you take a screenshot of the Stories notify the author, WhatsApp will notify you when you forward a message.
In this way they intend to protect our privacy, notifying us of who has forwarded something that we have written ourselves.
This measure makes things a little more complicated so that our private conversations are not distributed. Although there will always be the possibility of taking a screenshot and sending the conversation as if it were a photo.
But, be careful, because if what you want is for all your applications to have the same features, maybe soon we'll also have notice of the screenshots, just like Instagram .
When will this news arrive?
At the moment it is only available in beta phase, and everything seems to indicate that it will arrive with the 2.18.30 update. But there is no scheduled release date, unless it is known publicly.
With this update, when someone forwards a message from you, you will receive a notification that says “Message Forwarded”. It will appear just above the message that has been forwarded, as shown in your Twitter WABetaInfo: account

It looks like the intention is good, and they want to prevent messages from being forwarded without your permission.
On the one hand, it's good that user privacy is taken care of. Although, in any case, it will notify you once the message is already sent, so the damage, if any, will already be done.
