It's been less than two months since Apple bought Shazam and we already have an update.
New features and a redesign of the music recognition app appear.
What's new in the Shazam update?
Apple got its act together, and shortly after acquiring this music recognitionapplication, it wanted to improve it. The concern to improve the user experience is noticeable.
The new update of Shazam brings with it an improvement in the design of the application, much cleaner. Corresponds to version 11.7 of Shazam.
In addition to important improvements:
- When searching for a song with Shazam when the result is displayed, only an image of the artist will appear, as well as the name of the song and logos of Apple Music, Spotify or Deezer.
- At the top of the screen we find a menu where you can see:
- Song: name and song searched, as well as the icons of the music apps mentioned above.
- Lyrics: where you can see the lyrics of the searched song. The full lyrics!
- Video: there you can watch a YouTube video without leaving the application
- Share: you can share the search link through social networks, messaging apps or email.
This way accessing the menus is much easier.
The rest stays the same
Once we leave the search screen, the rest of the application continues without news.
We will have at the top of the screen the two options that we already knew:
- My shazam: where the searches you've made through the application are stored
- Discover: where by selecting some previous options (music styles that you like and then artists) you will select your mix of the day. Consist of 12 items that can be videos or playlists so you can discover songs or groups similar to your tastes.
I really love the discover menu and it's one of the reasons why I don't delete Shazam. Well, currently Siri also has the option to search and recognize songs.
