Everything has a reason and the increase in Gb of storage on all new devices iOS, has its explanation. One of them is the possibility of recording videos in 4K.
Each minute recorded in this quality occupies a whopping 375Mb (at 30 feet). This means that if you have a device with 16Gb, as soon as you record a few videos at this resolution, your storage space will decrease a lot. That is why Apple has 1080p HD resolution at 30 fps enabled by default. With it, each recorded minute occupies only 130Mb.
It is a function that we can activate from the iPhone 6S and 6S PLUS.
SET YOUR IPHONE TO RECORD AT 4K:
To activate video recording in 4K we must access the following path SETTINGS/CAMERA . Within that menu we look for the Record Video option and press it.
Option to record in 4k on iPhone
In it we find the following options
4K Options
From among them we choose any of the 4K. To say of them that the more fts, the more quality. We recommend choosing 30 ft (frames per second) , although if you have a iPhone with a lot of storage capacity, we would definitely turn on 60 ft .Press the indicated option, every time we go to record we will be doing it in 4K.
In any case, when recording a video it appears at the top of the screen, at the quality we are doing.
Quality you are recording at
If you only have 16Gb or 32Gb, we do not recommend, with some exceptions, recording at 4K. Storage space will be seriously affected.
But this is a matter of taste and, as we always tell you, each one selects the option that best suits them.
Another option, if you only have 16Gb of space, is to record the videos at this resolution and transfer them to a hard drive or a computer. Once this is done, delete them from the device and thus free up storage space.
