It is undeniable that the popularity of Instagram has been growing more and more, becoming one of the most popular social applications.
Just like we already had on WhatsApp and Messenger, now Instagram will show the last time you were online in direct messages.
This way, we can know how long it's been since you looked at the application.
Instagram incorporates the last connection in its update
Since Facebook acquired Instagram, it has been making important updates, and adding WhatsApp or Messenger features.
This time it is a feature that many of you may not like, especially if you are very jealous of your online privacy. Instagram will show the last connection in direct messages.
So, from now on, the direct messages part will show when you were last online.
How and where can you see it?
To see the last connection of one of your contacts, you just have to open the application and click on the direct messages icon, at the top right.
Once inside the direct messages, under the photo and name of your contact, a phrase will appear in gray.
This phrase may be:
- Active : If your contact is online at that precise moment.
- Active x hours ago : Your contact has not opened the application for x hours.
We can see the last connection of our contacts
It doesn't have any mystery, it's the same as what we already have in WhatsApp and Messenger.
Whether you like this novelty or not, I have to let you know that once you update the app, it comes activated by default.
Your last connection will be visible to those contacts you've previously been talking to via direct message and people you follow.
Your followers won't be able to see it.
If you don't like it, you can turn it off:
If you want to avoid being gossiped when you're connected or if you're online, at a specific time, we'll teach you how to disable Instagram last connection.
In this way, we can all be happy. Those who don't care can leave it on and those who don't want to show it can turn it off.
How do you like this update? Are you a detractor or a supporter of this update?
