Voice messages through messaging applications are becoming more and more common. Sometimes we find it more comfortable to send an audio than to write a long message.
It's more improvised, faster, and freshens up the conversation.
In the latest update of WhatsApp,on 2.18.10, new features appear for voice messages.
If you are one of those who sends audios through this messaging application you will already know that you can block the voice recording by sliding the microphone up until a padlock appears.
This novelty allows you to send long audios without having to keep your finger pressing the arrow all the time.
What's new in the WhatsApp update in its audio function?
It seems that WhatsApp is doing everything possible to implement the improvements that users are demanding.
As we've already mentioned, you recently enabled recording lock to send longer audios comfortably.
Now, in the latest version, it allows you to listen to the audios before sending them to your contacts or delete them, if you are interrupted for any reason while you are recording the voice note.
Until now, if a call came in while we were recording a voice note, it went directly to the trash can and started again.
Now if the audio is interrupted, it will be saved automatically so you can listen to it before sending it to your contacts and decide if:
- Send the audio.
- Or discard it by clicking the trash can button
In this way the App saves our voice message and we won't lose it like before.
What still doesn't stop is to continue with the recording. We hope that in one of the next updates it will be brought as an improvement.
When will you save the audio we are recording?
The WhatsApp application will save your audio automatically if:
- If you receive a phone or WhatsApp call.
- You listen to an audio.
- The low battery warning appears.
- You want to reply to another incoming chat.
- Watch a video, photos,
Only in these cases the message will be saved and we will see that an audio line appears with a play button to listen to it. Next to play will appear a garbage to discard the message if we want it, and to the right the send button.
Listen to the audios before sending them
This has been a great novelty, highly anticipated by the users of WhatsApp. We hope that they continue to improve the application and show interest in their users.
And you, are you one of those who send audios or do you keep hitting the key?
