Let's discuss how to update an iPhone or iPad, when there is a minor update of iOS When there is a big update, it usually happens in September every year, we recommend restore system to factory settings
When there is a minor update, for example iOS 11 -> , we can update directly from the iPhone or iPad. But before doing anything, we recommend you do the following.
THE BEST WAY TO UPGRADE AN IPHONE OR IPAD:
Before updating, we do the following :
- We close all background apps. To do this, press the HOME button twice and slide up all the applications that we have open.
- After closing all the apps, we keep pressing the power off button of the device, until the screen appears with the option, “Slide to turn off”. When it appears, we keep the HOME button pressed, until the apps screen reappears. This is done to release Cache.
Turn off iPhone
Once these two steps have been completed, it is when we must update our device to the new version iOS.
Once the new update of iOS is installed,we recommend you do the following:
- Return when closing all background apps, if any.
- Release the cache of the iPhone or iPad,performing the same action that we have commented previously.
- Performing a HARD RESET On iPhone 7 and above, it is done by pressing the power button and the volume down button , WITHOUT RELEASING THEM, until the Apple apple appears on the screen. On iPhone 6S and below, this is done by pressing and HOLDING down the power button and the HOME button until the Apple apple appears on the screen.
This is the best way to update an iPhone or iPad, to a new minor version of iOS.
We've been doing it this way for years and we think it's the best way to update.
WHY IS THIS THE BEST WAY TO UPGRADE AN IPHONE OR IPAD?:
Because before updating we remove running apps, running processes, device caches. We leave it “virgin” for the update.
And because after updating, we leave the iPhone “virgin” again, to start using it from scratch.
We hope you found this article interesting. We also pass you, as recommended by Apple to update iOS devices.
