If you wanted new content, you already have it. The new version of Snapchat 10.11.0.0 brings the new geolocation feature. With it you will be able to locate where your friends are (if they want to, of course) and be able to see the featured snaps that are happening all over the world.
A new way to explore any corner of our planet, where snapchat has been taken.
The Bitmoji that appear on the map are called actionmojis. From what we have been able to verify, they can reveal what we are doing. For example, we have seen while we were testing the update that one of our friends was driving a car since his bitmoji was driving one.
A great update that will surely attract new users and those who left to other platforms.
LOCATE YOUR FRIENDS AND EXPLORE WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE WORLD OF THE SNAP MAP:
In this official video of Snapchat, we can see how it works and the end of this new feature:
You've already seen it. To activate the new function you must, from the main screen of Snapchat, make the gesture of pinching on the screen, so that the Snap Map appears .
Surely many of you will wonder, what about my privacy? What if I don't want my friends to know my location?
No problem. You can choose whether or not to share your location. To do this you must click on the upper right part of the map and select the option "GHOST MODE".
Activating ghost mode
With this mode, you will appear with a Snapchat sign on your face and you will be able to see the location of the friends who allow you to see it. In addition, you can also see on the map, events and areas where snapchat has been posted.
Snap map
The events will appear highlighted with their corresponding name. Areas where snaps have been shared will appear colored. The color range goes from green (area with few Snaps) to red (publication of many).
If we want to see, for example, all the content shared in Spain, we must move away from the Snapchat map, until we see the entire country. Once done, click on the country and we can see them all. If what we want is to see a specific area, for example your neighborhood, city, province, we must enlarge the map until it is visible and after that, click on the area to see the shared snaps, if there are any.
The app is always not locating you. It will only locate you while you have the app open. This is important to say. Therefore, if you opened the app in Madrid, but are now in Barcelona, the last geolocation your friends will see will be Madrid.
Another important thing to say is that we will be able to report snaps that we deem appropriate. By holding down on the snap in question, the possibility to share it and a flag will appear, in the lower left part of the screen, to report it.
THE SNAPCHAT MAP FINDER:
The map has a search engine from which you can find your friends. If we put the name of any of them, and it allows us to locate it, it will tell us where they last opened Snapchat. Also, in the lower part of the search engine, it highlights stories to see. Pressing them will take us to the place and, if we want to see it, we must press on it.

WHAT STORIES WILL APPEAR ON THE SNAP MAP:
Well, if we follow what they tell us in the app, as soon as you access this new update, snaps that have been shared within the option "OUR STORY" will appear .
Appear on the Snap Map
Therefore, if when sending a video or image, you select to share it in "MY STORY" and/or "OUR STORY «, these snaps may appear on the map.Surely it will be conditioned by the fact that there are more people who publish in the area from where you do it.
If you post only to "MY STORY", these Snaps will not appear on the Snap Map.
What do you think? We love this new feature. And you?
