We are talking about CLIPS on March 22, after the launch of the new Apple products.
This new app will allow us to record and share videos very easily. We can add texts, effects, emojis and share them on numerous social networks. Very similar to what we can do today on Snapchat and Instagram Stories .
But also, Clips has powerful functions such as, for example, the possibility of detecting the people who appear in the videos, using facial detection, and suggesting to share it with them.
Without further ado, let's tell you how it works.
CLIPS, Apple's new app to create videos for social networks and messaging apps:
After testing it for a while we have to say that Clips is a great tool to create creative videos. We also have to comment that it only works with iOS 10.3 or higher.
We can share these directly on social networks like Instagram, Youtube, Facebook and in messaging apps like Whatsapp and itself iMessage. We miss being able to post that content to Snapchat,but we can do it by saving the video to our camera roll and then sharing it from our own app.
The main screen of Clips is as follows:
In it we can see, at the top, all the tools available to make the video. By clicking on each of them, a grid will appear with the different formats that we can apply to our creation.
Speaking of each one of them, from left to right, we have the tool to add text by voice, add different image filters, incorporate different stickers (some based on our location), add written text in different formats and add music.
To record video we must keep the red button pressed. When released, the recording will stop and if we press it again, it will continue recording after the previously recorded scene.
The recorded scenes will appear at the bottom. Clicking on them, we can edit them:
When we have finished recording, click OK and we will see the option to share directly in the available apps or save to the reel, in Dropbox, iCloud,etc
Also, after clicking OK, we can access the help of this new Apple app. By clicking on the "?" button, which appears in the upper right part of the screen, we will access the help center where we can learn how to do everything with the app.
