One of the big problems that Snapchat presents, is the great consumption of battery and mobile data that it causes to its users.
While we are connected to a Wi-Fi network, the data consumption problem does not exist and the battery consumption problem is somewhat lower than what we suffer when we use the social network under 3G/4G. The problem appears when we are connected to our data rate.
The battery issue has little solution at the moment. Back in the day we gave you some guidelines on how to save battery when using Snapchat.
When it comes to mobile data consumption, things change. Also in the article that we just linked to you in the previous paragraph, we talked about the ideal configuration to avoid high data consumption. But the issue is that we configure the app as we configure it, if we see and publish Snaps the consumption continues to skyrocket.
The solution to this is to change our consumption habits of Snapchat. We will have to post fewer Snaps using our mobile connection and download as many stories as possible in order to view Snaps offline. Would you like to know how it is done? We found a way to do it.
HOW TO SEE SNAPS WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION:
It is something that will surely reduce, considerably, the consumption of our data rate caused by this app.
Normally, if we “capture” the mobile data connection so that the app cannot connect to the internet when it is not connected to Wi-Fi, we can see some Snaps preloaded on our device.We click on the user we want to see the story of and after a few Snaps we see the warning that we do not have an internet connection and we cannot continue watching videos.
What we have to do is download all the available stories to be able to see them without an internet connection. We must "see" them under Wi-Fi so that they are completely downloaded to our device.
I know it seems convoluted but it's not. What do we all do when we see a story that doesn't interest us? We tap the screen continuously to skip all the snaps, right? Well, that's what you have to do with all the stories you want to see offline.
Once you've done that, all of them will appear at the bottom of the stories menu. Specifically in the ALL STORIES section. In the RECENT UPDATES part (the one we see as soon as we enter the stories section) there will be none left, unless one is updated at that time.
Once this is done, you can now disconnect the data connection of Snapchat and enjoy the Snaps without connection at your data rate.

Now I'm sure you'll be wondering how do I delete all those snaps? A quick way to do this is by logging out and, after doing so, log back into the app.
