WhatsApp is the most widespread instant messaging application and it seems that the developers of the app care about our security. First there was end-to-end encryption that increased the privacy of our conversations and now two-step verification is coming to the application.
Two-step verification is an extra security function that has become widespread and allows us to add more security to our accounts by adding one more step to access the account in addition to the password.
From now on, as long as we activate two-step verification, in addition to entering the code we received via SMS when we verified our number, we will have to enter a 6-digit code created by us.
HOW TO ACTIVATE WHATSAPP TWO-STEP VERIFICATION
Starting today, any WhatsApp user, regardless of their platform, will be able to activate two-step verification, and the steps to activate it on iOS devices are as follows.
First of all you have to access WhatsApp and within the application press the Settings icon. Once we are in Settings, we will have to locate and press Account and within Account click on the new Two-Step Verification option.
When you press Two-Step Verification, a new screen will open that will briefly explain how two-step verification works and where you have to press Activate. Next we will have to enter a 6-digit code created by us twice and, in case we want more security, add an email.
Following these simple steps we will have added extra security to our WhatsApp account that will make it even more difficult for them to access or steal our account. If you want to know all the details about this new WhatsApp function, we invite you to access the website dedicated to this function
