Shortening links and URLs is something that is very useful for certain actions, such as writing a tweet on Twitter without exceeding the maximum number of characters. Shortening URLs on our computers is very simple and now, thanks to Short Menu, will also be on our iOS devices.
IN THE FREE VERSION, SHORT MENU ONLY ALLOWS YOU TO SHORTEN LINKS THROUGH SHRTM.NU
The operation of the app is very simple, since it only has the main screen that will be from which we can shorten the links as well as access the settings or see our link history.
On this screen we will find two blank spaces, one where it says "Long URL" and another where it says "Custom Keyword". The upper box is where we will have to enter the URL that we want to cut and in the lower box, optionally, a keyword for the URL.
Once this is done, all we have to do is click on Shorten URL and after a few seconds of waiting we will see the URL shortened by the shrtm.nu service and, at the same time, it will have been copied to the clipboard of our device.
A feature that can be highlighted in the app is that it has its own extension for Safari by clicking the share icon in the browser. This will allow us to shorten the link of the web we are on without having to leave Safari, since it will automatically copy the link to the clipboard.
Short Menu offers many other functions such as being able to use all the available services to shorten links as well as being able to add accounts of said services or create personalized services, all of them after purchasing the Pro version through in-app purchases.
The application is free to download but includes an in-app purchase to purchase the Pro version of Short Menu, which is priced at €2.99 . You can download the application from this link to the App Store.
