We have known this app for a long time. In fact, in early 2014, we talked about Instapaper in a long article. We found it, at the time, the best “Read Later” app.
Soon it came to the fore POCKET It was another great tool that allowed us to save articles, to read them whenever we felt like it. The two apps did the same thing. The difference between one and the other is that Instapaper was paid and Pocket was free. But it's also that Instapaper had a monthly subscription that allowed us to perform many functions that were restricted to users who didn't religiously pay their monthly fee.
Many people changed their reader, which we encourage from APPerlas with a duel between the two apps. Almost all of us switched to Pocket. It did the same thing and it was free.
At first, it seemed that the developers of the app to which we dedicate this article did not care about losing users. Soon after, they made the app free, but kept their subscription model to access the Premium features.
INSTAPAPER, FROM TODAY, OFFERS ITS PREMIUM FEATURES FOR FREE:
The purchase of Instapaper, by Pinterest, has caused the new owners to take the step of converting all features of payment in free.
It is a step that should have been taken a long time ago, but it seems that the former leaders of this good platform did not want to lose the only source of income they had left.
That's why from now on, we can access all the functions that this great "Read Later" tool offers us in its application. From today we will be able to access these added functions, which already come by default
We used to love this app, but the appearance of Pocket made us abandon it. If you're one of those who did the same, aren't you going to give Instapaper a new chance? We do.
Here's a video where you can see how it works (it's an older interface than the current one, but the app works the same):
