As the years go by, applications evolve and demand more data for their operation. This means that when we use the mobile phone away from a WIFI connection, our data rate suffers. Many of us are the ones who spend or arrive very tight at the end of the month, in the consumption of mobile data.
Today we want to teach you how to control this type of consumption. This will avoid reaching the maximum of contracted data with the consequent drop in speed or with the charge of the amount of each extra mega consumed.
In our country, the operators seem not to be willing to take out flat mobile rates, as they can be enjoyed in other countries. It seems they want to hold out as long as possible and benefit from it for as long as possible.
HOW TO AVOID RUNNING OUT OF MOBILE DATA:
To be able to control what we consume from our data rate, in each of the applications, we must go to SETTINGS/MOBILE DATA .
On this screen we will see the applications that we allow to use our mobile data.
All those that we have active will consume data from our rate, as long as we are not connected to a WIFI connection.
Under the name of each one we will see the data that they have consumed in the period that we have configured. This is very valuable information to know which ones consume more data.
If we detect that an application makes excessive use of them, it will be because we use it a lot or because we don't have it configured to consume as little data as possible.
WHAT TO DO IF AN APP CONSUME A LOT OF MOBILE DATA?:
The first thing is to access the application and in its SETTINGS section, or configuration, look for an option that allows us to minimize the use of data from the mobile rate or configure the way in which to download content in them. Many of them, such as Whatsapp, do have this option.
If WhatsApp is responsible for consuming most of the mobile data on your device, reduce WhatsApp data consumption as much as possible .
If you don't use an app much and it consumes a lot, we recommend that you disable the use of mobile data in it.We, for example, have disabled the use of data in the application of the APP STORE This means that we only update and download apps with a WIFI connection.
Other apps consume data in the background, so we recommend that you disable this option whenever you can. To do it quickly, go to SETTINGS/GENERAL/BACKGROUND UPDATE and deactivate the Background update option .
Another recommendation is that you reset these statistics every time your data rate is renewed. In this way we will have a monthly control of the consumption of each application. To do this we scroll to the end of the MOBILE DATA screen and RESET STATISTICS .
If you don't want to miss resetting your statistics each month, create a monthly reminder in the calendar or in the Reminders app.
Without further ado, we encourage you to share the article on social networks and instant messaging apps.
