Like every year around this time, Apple launches its new operating system. This year it's time iOS 10 and it brings many new features that you will have seen in our numerous articles dedicated to it.

It is rumored that although today, September 7, is the Keynote where the new Apple e iOS 10 devices will be presented, it seems be that the launch of this new operating system will be later. Instead of seeing the light at the end of the event, it is said that it will be released at the end of the week or even next week. We think that this is a hoax and that we will be able to install it from this afternoon/evening.

To remove iOS 9 and install iOS 10, we explain the process to make a clean copy of the new iOS.

HOW TO INSTALL IOS 10 THE CLEAN WAY:

This should be done, or at least we do it, once a year.

Here are the steps you need to take before upgrading to iOS 10. You have to do them in order (We remember that you will do this under your own responsibility):

Before installing a new operating system, we will make a backup on iCloud and on our PC.

To copy to iCloud we must make sure that all the apps from which we want to save the data are selected in iCloud. That can be seen from Settings/iCloud :

Then, on that same screen, click on "Backup". We activate « Copy in iCloud » and if the last copy is recent we do not save anything. If it is old, we must click on « MAKE BACKUP COPY NOW «

To copy in iTunes we must have the latest version of that program installed. After this, we connect the iPhone or iPad to our computer. In iTunes we will see that our device recognizes it and in the part that says "Backup" we mark "This computer" and then in "Make a copy now".

It is a slow and tedious process but we recommend you do it in case the images are deleted after the installation of iOS 10.

This tutorial explains how to save photos from your iPhone or iPad to your computer. We warn you that on a PC it is done more slowly than on a MAC.

We remember that, if things have not changed, to save photos on a PC you must do it 1 by 1, while on MAC you can do it 100 by 100.

We also leave you the APPLE tutorial to carry out this process, in case you have any questions when reading our tutorial.

Before you proceed with the process MAKE SURE that all photos are saved.

Obviously, when you have all the photos saved on your computer or external hard drive, you can delete them from iCloud and the device to save space in both places.

This will help you to reinstall them later and to clean up applications that you don't use.

This will make your iPhone or iPad completely CLEAN from factory.

This can be done in two ways:

– From the device itself : Go to Settings / General / Reset and click on "Erase all content and settings"

– From iTunes : With the iPhone or iPad connected to your MAC or PC , click on the "Restore iPhone" option.

Doing this cleans the device. We recommend doing it from a computer using iTunes.

Restore will install the latest version of iOS, in this case iOS 10.

After the restoration, iOS 10 will be installed and when we start using the terminal, we'll have to configure it from scratch.

When asked whether or not to install a backup, we'll say NO. This will install a clean copy of iOS.And don't worry if you're going to lose your contacts, because when you put your iCloud account, they will all reappear on the phone (as long as you have the tab CONTACTS checked in iCloud settings)

What we will have to do is reinstall all the apps and configure the iPhone again to have it as we had with the old iOS 9 .

When we have everything installed and configured, do a HARD RESET.

It's a tedious process and requires time, but we recommend doing it every time you jump to a new iOS. Spending a few hours on your mobile or tablet and doing this type of annual maintenance never hurts.

NO HASSLE UPDATE:

If you don't want to complicate your life, make a backup as we mentioned at the beginning of the article, and then update directly to iOS 10, from Settings/General/Software Update .

By doing this you run the risk of carrying over bugs from the past, but if you don't mind and the iPhone or iPad worked fine for you, You already know how to install iOS 10 quickly.

Greetings!!!
