After the latest update of Pokémon GO, we can supposedly perform a gesture to recover failed Pokeballs at launch. Only missed balls could be recovered and not those that hit the Pokémon.
If this were true, we would avoid losing the Pokeballs we threw into nothing. A great "trick" that we would have wanted to be true so as not to lose the coveted white and red balls.
The latest version of Pokemon GO, has brought some great improvements but NOT this supposed new way to recover failed Pokeballs. I wish it would work and someone who misses a lot in his throws tells you.
Some major media have echoed this false trick. Press HERE to see the news.
Proof that recovering failed Pokeballs on casts is false:
Look carefully at the video below
Supposedly, to reuse a missed ball in a shot, we must press it, once missed, and drag it to the shot position.
We throw and if we see that it doesn't hit the Pokémon, we press it quickly and drag it towards the bottom of the screen.
But if you watch the video carefully, each ball he throws is deducted from his ball totalizer that we can see at the bottom of the screen (you have to pay close attention because the ball counter appears fleetingly after each throw) . He starts throwing with 98 balls and ends with 95, so the supposed trick of recovering pokeballs doesn't work (keep count and you'll see how the 3 balls he uses are not recovered).
We, even so, have tried and we have spent all the pokeballs we had without getting a single one back. It is true that if we press the missed ball the ball has a pick-up effect, but it is not true.
If someone of you has really managed to recover Pokeballs, tell us and show us and we will gladly rectify the article.
