Canva is an application that, despite being designed to create designs from our photographs, adding elements to them, can also serve as a photo retouching application, since we will be able to obtain very interesting and original images.
To start using the app you will need to create an account. Once we have created the account, we can start creating designs and editing our photos.
THE CANVA APP CAN BE USED AS A PHOTO RETOUCHING APP
At the top of the main screen, a series of icons that correspond to the type of design and image that we can create. Among them, we can find things as simple as images for Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, but others that attract attention, such as the possibility of creating Facebook header images.
In all these sections we will find a series of preloaded designs, and to create our own design, we will have to modify any of these. When we have chosen one of the elements, and we have clicked on it, the app will open a new screen that will allow us to modify the design.
In this new screen we will see that we can modify the background image by clicking on Replace, as well as that we can modify the filter that we want to apply to the image. We can also access the advanced filter menu where we can modify things like brightness or contrast.
At the bottom of this editing screen we will see a bar with a series of icons. These icons are “Text”, “Elements”, “Layouts” and “Pages”. If we click on “Text”, we can add text to our image, while if we click on “Elements”, we can add a series of drawings.
For its part, "Layouts" gives us the option of separating the different elements of the image into several sections in the image so that one or both have more importance than the other. Finally, from “Pages” we can add layers to our design.
Each design that we create will be saved in the "Your Designs" section of the main screen, and the app itself Canva gives us the possibility to share them on different social networks as well as save it to our camera roll.
