For a long time, iOS has had its own e-book reader, iBooks. Despite this, it is very possible that many people do not like it, and if we talk about Read as an alternative, today you will see another app, Hyphen , which can also replace iBooks perfectly.

The interface of Hyphen is very simple and intuitive which makes it very easy to use the app. In the first place we find the main screen, called the shelf. There we will find some literary classics, and if we click on "All Books" at the top we can create new shelves.

HYPHEN HAS A FREE AND LIMITED VERSION AND ANOTHER PAYMENT AND COMPLETE

We can give the shelves the name we want so we can, for example, order our books by category. On this screen we can also select books to delete or move them between shelves, as well as use the magnifying glass icon to search for books.

If we press "Reading" in the bar at the bottom of the app, we will access reading mode. In case we are reading a book we will find it where we left it. From here we can access the book's index, highlight fragments that call our attention or share the book, among other things.

Then we find in the bar at the bottom «Add Books» From here we can add books to our Hyphen library. From the application we can add them from cloud services like Dropbox, or from the browser that includes the app, but if we want to add them from our Mac or PC, the app will tell us how to do it using iTunes.

Finally we find "More" from where we can access a series of adjustments and it will also allow us to perform some actions such as exporting all the underlined elements or exporting all the vocabulary, as well as evaluating the app or requesting help.

Hyphen has two versions, a limited free one and a complete one whose price is €2.99. You can download the free version from here and the full version from this link.
