Reading on mobile devices is becoming easier since most operating systems have their own apps that allow us to do so, as is the case with iBooks on iOS, but it never hurts to get to know apps like Read.

READ GIVES US THE POSSIBILITY TO DOWNLOAD FREE BOOKS WHOSE RIGHTS BELONG TO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN

Read is an ePub reader that offers us many facilities when it comes to importing books, since it makes use of synchronization with cloud services, as well as being able to do it also from iTunes.

To start adding books in ePub format, all we have to do is press the "+" icon at the top right of the main screen, choose whether we want to import the books from Dropbox or Google Drive, and once we have given permission to one of those services to choose the books we want to import.

When we are reading a book, we find a simple interface, which has a series of icons at the top. The first one is used to return to the main page of the app, while if we press the second we can see the book's index.

For its part, with the central icon we can modify the size of the letter as well as the tone of the background. The fourth icon is used to see the words or paragraphs that we have highlighted, which we can do by holding down the text that we want to highlight and pressing “Highlight”. Finally, we find the icon that allows us to share the book we are reading.

The application also allows us to purchase books for free, among which are the greatest literary successes, such as Don Quixote or The Picture of Dorian Grey, all of which are in the public domain. To download any of these books you will have to press the "+" icon on the main screen and choose from one of the services offered by the app.

Read is priced at €2.99 and does not have any in-app purchases. You can download the app from here.
