We've been talking to you about the Facebook application MOMENTS,an app that brings together all the photographs in which we appear. Since May 25 we have it available in our country.
Who has not been to a party, concert, meeting and wants to have photos in which they appear? Many times we go to events where people are photographed left and right and we want to have a memory in which we appear since, many times, we start taking photos and forget to take one of ourselves, right? Or we just didn't take any snapshots because we forgot our mobile or we didn't have it with us.
Well, Moments comes to fill that photographic void on our devices by gathering all the photos taken by our friends and in which we appear. As the title of this app says very well, with Moments you will get the photos you haven't taken.
MOMENTS, A DECAFFEINATED APP IN EUROPE:
All very nice until we started using it and compared it with the American version. We realize that the famous facial recognition integrated into the application does not work in our continent.
It turns out that the US version has facial recognition that allows you to access all the photos in which the app recognizes your face, something that is very interesting since you don't have to be tagged in the photos so that we have access to them.
In Europe, certain laws prevent this automatic “tagging” system from being effective, so to let people know which people appear in our photos we must tag them manually. In this way, the most interesting function of Moments, in Europe it will not work, for the moment.
Photos are shared privately with the friends you want. It is not necessary to post them on the social network.
Anyway, it's still a great app to find out what photos you've been tagged in. A faster way to collect the snapshots in which we appear, or friends and family, and to have them grouped in a single app with the possibility of downloading them to our device.
