A few days ago Google's annual conference, called I/O 2016, was held, in which a lot of news was announced and of which we have rescued two that are the ones that really matter to us in Apperlas. These news have their own name and are Google ALLO and Google DUO
These two applications are social tools that the Silicon Valley company is going to launch on the battlefield of instant messaging and video call applications, one of the toughest and most competitive markets in the App Store.
No one can doubt that the new smartphones have changed our way of communicating and applications like Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Skype have a lot to blame for this.It seems that Google is a little late in this segment of apps, but everything indicates that it is going to enter in a big way with two great apps that we will surely all try and that will make us abandon consolidated platforms like Whatsappor Facebook Messenger?
Google ALLO:
The instant messaging application that will be launched in the summer, integrates advances in artificial intelligence that will make the app even respond to us intelligently. They offer us a platform with which we can communicate with our friends, family and also with our virtual assistant. Allo will read the conversation and reply to us based on context, including emojis and photos.
Here we show you the moment of the conference in which they talked about this app. If you do not understand anything, we recommend that you activate the sub titles and translate them into Spanish. If you don't want to, just by seeing the possibilities offered by this application, you will surely understand everything
Google DUO:
It is the app for video calls proposed by Google and that will differ from the others in that it will allow us to see what the person we are talking to is doing, before starting the videoconference and, in addition, it is said that it works very well with low quality connections.
It is clear that this sector of applications is very crowded and it will be difficult for them to unseat the great monsters of the instant messaging and video calls market, but it is true that Google always makes very good apps and they can be a great alternative to all the apps we have available in the Apple app store.
We will wait until summer to test them and review them. Stay tuned.
