Finally available Whatsapp for Windows and MAC

I'm sure many of you use WhatsApp from the web since it's much more convenient to write to your contacts from your computer, if you're using it to work, study, play or for whatever you want. Well, now you can forget about the web version to finally download the official app of this instant messaging application on your Mac or PC with Windows 8 or higher.

To do this, all we have to do is access the official WhatsApp website and click on the "DOWNLOAD" option. There we will see a link that will allow us to download and, later, install the WhatsApp app on our computer.

It doesn't differ much from the web version, but from the new app access to Whatsapp is much better and more direct, without having to open our browser and have it mixed with other navigation tabs which, at least for us, got on our nerves.

HOW THE WHATSAPP APP WORKS FOR WINDOWS AND MAC:

As we have told you, the operation does not differ much from that of Whatsapp web although it is true that we can perform functions that we could not perform from the SAFARI browser, such as example sending voice messages and taking photos from our PC or Mac.

The advantages are few compared to the web version, but enough to abandon the browser version and migrate to the official app for laptops and desktops.

  • Notifications: The most important. We finally have desktop notifications, which greatly improves the interaction with the app, since we will forget about the typical ones that appeared in Safari, Chrome or Firefox, to name a few browsers. Now we can see the messages that are sent to us as one more notification and without having to interrupt what we are doing on Mac or PC.

  • We will be able to change our profile photo, for another one that we make from the computer or that we have stored on it.

In the same way as we could do from the web version, it allows us to create groups, access archived chats, send photos, documents

What hasn't improved is connectivity, since we'll have to have our iPhone with a Wi-Fi connection or mobile data for the desktop app to work and not appear the happy message

Without further ado, let's hope you migrate to the new Whatsapp for Windows and Mac and stop using the devious desktop version that, by the way, has stopped working for us after installing the new version.

Greetings!!!
