Microsoft seems set to break through on iOS. If we have already told you on other occasions about Microsoft apps that come to iOS, such as the Hub Keyboard keyboard, today it was the turn of Word Flow , the Windows Phone keyboard that, after announcing its development for iOS, has made the leap to this platform.
IN WORD FLOW THEY HIGHLIGHT THE WRITING WITH “LINES” AND THE WRITING WITH A SINGLE HAND
The first thing to say is that at the moment the keyboard is only available in English and on the US App Store, so you will need an account from that Store to download the app.Once we have downloaded the app, the first thing we have to do is enable the keyboard from Settings>General>Keyboards.
Once this is done we can use Word Flow in all apps. From the keyboard app, we can customize it using any of the themes included in the app or creating one ourselves using the photos from our camera roll.
There are two main strengths of Word Flow: writing with "strokes" and writing with one hand. Writing in strokes allows us to write by sliding our finger over the letters that make up the word, thus being able to write more quickly.
To activate one-hand writing, we will have to click on one of the arc-shaped icons that are at the top of the keyboard. If we are left-handed we will have to slide the icon on the left side to the right, and if we are right-handed, we will have to slide the icon on the right to the left.
By doing this, the keyboard will tilt and we will be able to reach all the keys with one hand. This option can be very useful, for example, when we are on the bus, and while standing we are using one hand to hold on to something.
Finally, it should be noted that, unlike many other keyboards such as Hub Keyboard, this keyboard has its own emoticons.
As I said before, Word Flow is currently only available on the US App Store, but it is expected to reach more countries. If you can't wait and you have a US Store account you can download it from here.
