Nobody argues that Periscope is the social app of the moment and not because the soccer player Gerard Piqué is making it fashionable with his commented retransmissions, but because it is one of the social platforms that has been growing most strongly lately. The public broadcast of live videos, from our iPhone,is one of the favorite activities of Smartphone users and not so much doing them, but also consuming them.
Who hasn't used Periscope in their boredom to see what's being broadcast all over the world? Who doesn't follow a famous person and is aware to watch his live broadcasts so you can ask and interact with him or her?
In this LiveStream war it must be recognized that Google has fallen asleep and will react late to try to take part of the pie that is being shared Periscope , Meerkat and Facebook. The first of these three, owned by Twitter, is the one that dominates this world and the second is said to be about to throw in the towel. Facebook gives the possibility of broadcasting live to a select few and we hope that it will soon be able to extend this function to other mortals.
Google is finalizing the launch of its own «Periscope» under the name of YOUTUBE CONNECT, an application that will allow us to broadcast live with the advantage that these could be saved on our YouTube channel, if we had one.
And why Youtube Connect if Youtube already allows live broadcasts? Simply because with Youtube Connect it aims to be much more direct, enjoyable and easy to use to broadcast, in just a few touches of the screen, the live stream that we want.
It is also heard that it could include special functions such as chat, tagging, and a feed to see the new transmissions of the people and channels we follow.
We are looking forward to this app appearing in the App Store .
