Many of you will wonder, what is that? what if? Well, it turns out that on our mobile devices we have an option, within the settings of Safari, that allows us to activate the "Quick web search" on our iPhone, iPad and iPod TOUCH.

And what is that for? Well, it is used to search, from the Safari navigation bar, for any content within a specific website.

Imagine that you consume a lot of content from a specific website, for example APPerlas.com , and that you want to search for any type of news or article that has to do with Whatsapp, but that only results from our website appear. That is what the "Quick web search" function does, it allows us to quickly search for content, within a certain website, from the search engine that we have preset in Safari

How the Quick Web Search feature works on iOS:

The first thing we have to do, of course, is activate this function. To do this we follow this route SETTINGS/SAFARI/QUICK WEB SEARCH .

We will also have to have the "Search engine suggestions" option active.

Now we must access one of our favorite websites, from which we normally consume content, and look for its search field. We look for a lot of content on the Wikipedia,so we access that website and go to the place where it allows us to search the web.

The next step is to do any kind of search, so Safari will add this address into the quick web search function. We look for, for example, "Alicante" and after a few minutes, Safari will recognize this website for that function, as we can see in the browser settings.

When we have a website hosted there, we can do quick searches for the website we want, from the Safari web browser. To do this, for example in our case, we put « Wiki Madrid" and this will make us search in Wikipedia for the word "Madrid" avoiding thousands of Google searches.

We have to warn you that when doing a search of this type, we will always have to put part of the name of the website before the search term, as we have done before with « Wiki Madrid «.Once written, you do not have to click on "GO" to do the search, but you have to click on one of the suggestions that our browser makes us Safari.

This is a very effective way to search for specific content, within a given web, without having to access the web.

In APPerlas, given the interface we have for mobile devices, you won't be able to configure it to do quick searches on the web, unless you activate the classic version of the web, access an article and find the dialog box to search for content.

Greetings and hugs.
