We already have available in the APP STORE, the official app of Tomtom for iPhone, with which you can safely drive to any destination you want. It was taking too long to release it for iOS,considering that it has been available for Android since March of last year.
Obviously no one is going to dispute the quality that Tomtom offers on their maps. Who has never had, or used, a Tomtom GPS? At last this company has put its batteries and has seen that the future lies in creating a complete and affordable app, for mobile, intended for users of its famous maps.Today very few people use the GPS that we all bought in the past and use more mobile navigation applications.
TOMTOM GO MOBILE FOR IPHONE:
As soon as we access the app, a simple and beautiful introduction appears explaining the strengths of the application (in the video it appears in English but in the app it appears in Spanish).
Then it asks us to download a map, which will reduce the consumption of mobile data during the route, since we won't have to download maps as we travel. We choose IBERIA (856mb) and it asks us for at least one free space on our iPhone of 1, 73Gb minimum , which we see as exaggerated given the 16Gb available to our terminal (we recommend downloading this download with WIFI if you don't want to eat a large part of the mobile data rate contracted with your company).
After asking us for permission to access our location, which is essential to accept, the interface appears, which we really liked.
At first, browsing the interface of Tomtom GO Mobile is a bit tedious since you don't know where each option is, but after a few minutes of fiddling with it, it is known how it works and where each function is located. We recommend you navigate through it and practice before starting a trip.
One of the things we didn't like is that every month they only give you the chance to travel 75 km for free. If you don't do more than those kilometers every 30 days, the app will come in handy, but for those of us who do many more, we have to go to the checkout and pay what we show you in the following image.
It is not very expensive given the quality that the app offers, but in the App Store there are many GPS navigation applications that offer us the same services at lower prices and even for free, such as Google Maps, Maps.me or your own Apple Maps
What we do want to highlight is the good traffic information offered by Tomtom. We have tried it and it has been absolutely right in some traffic jams that we have eaten for not trusting of the application.
