Many followers have asked us if there is any way to make a backup, or backup copy, of your photos uploaded to Instagram, to have them saved for a future album, compilation, etc. Today we are going to explain how to do it thanks to a simple recipe IFTTT
IFTTT is a platform that automates a lot of actions and that allows us to make endless recipes with which, for example, we can send a message to Twitter every morning, automatically, that our iPhone let us know if it's going to rain the next day, save Facebook photos on our camera roll, etc
We use it a lot, for example, to repeat our articles on Twitter late at night for our Latin American followers, because it's an app that makes our lives much easier.
Today we explain how to save photos from Instagram simply by making a recipe and automating the process. We make a recipe and we forget for life to carry out this task since it will be done automatically.
HOW TO SAVE INSTAGRAM PHOTOS AUTOMATICALLY:
The first thing we have to have is an account in IFTTT and an account in one of the cloud storage platforms that this platform works with, which in this case it is Dropbox, Box, Google drive, OneDrive . We will do the example with Dropbox, which will help you a lot to do it with the other platforms since the processes are similar.
Once we have them, we access IFTTT and we have to register our Instagram and Dropbox accountsto be able to make the relevant recipe. To do this, we access the account settings and, within "CHANNELS", we activate them.
After registering the two channels (Instagram and Dropbox) we began to make the recipe:
Click on the “mortar” button that appears at the top right of the main screen (on iPad it is different but you also have to click on the button that appears at the top right of the main screen) .
- In the menu that appears, click on “+” to create a new recipe.
- After this, click on the “Create a Recipe” button that we will see at the bottom of the screen.
- Press the blue “+” button and choose INSTAGRAM.
- Of the options that appear, click on “ Any new photo by you ”.
- Now press the red “+” button and choose DROPBOX.
- Of the options that appear, click on the one that says “Add file from URL”.
- After this, on the next screen we don't touch anything and click on NEXT.
- Then click on FINISH and if we want a notification to appear every time a photo is saved, we leave the option that you will see on the screen activated.
In this simple way we can save photos from Instagram automatically on your favorite cloud storage platform, specifically in a folder called IFTTT/Instagram. In this way we will always have them safe and we will be able to see and use them as we please.
