Surely it has happened to you, more than once, that when writing a message in one of the messaging apps or social networks, when correcting a misspelled word and highlighted by thespell checker iPhone or iPad, doesn't give you the option to change it. In APPerlas we have discovered why, and then we tell you how to proceed so that the correction appears.
We don't know if we can call this an "iOS bug", but what is true is that it is something that we think should be fixed for future iOS.
It is true that if you have the automatic corrector activated, when writing you will be able to instantly correct all the word that we write wrong, but if you are like us who do not have this function activated, normally when you finish writing a text , we correct all the words that are highlighted as misspelled.
Usually, at the end of each writing, we end up with an emoticon and after this, when trying to correct the errors, we cannot do so.
How to make the spelling function work:
I'm sure many of you have the same thing and the issue is that when we have the emoticon keyboard on the screen, we can't correct the words. We click on them but the spelling function does not appear to make the correction.
To correct them, we must go to the usual keyboard of our iPhone and iPad and that is when the spelling function will work, by pressing misspelled words.
Easy right? Well, we had to investigate a little to find this :).
It's a minor bug, but we think it's something that should be corrected since, today, most people end their messages with emoticons and it's a pain in the ass not being able to correct spelling errors quickly, functional and intuitive.
Greetings and we hope that someone from Apple will read us and remedy this small bug.
