3D Touch was one of the star features of the iPhone 6S, and we have already seen how numerous well-known and used apps, such as WhatsApp or Facebook, added the possibility of using 3D Touch in them, and now it is Vine who is Get on the bandwagon of this new technology.
Vine, for those of you who don't know it, is a video platform owned by Twitter where, like Instagram, we can upload and create videos, and see what the people we follow upload. In Vine, we will be able to follow the users that we want and we will see the videos that have been uploaded to their account, giving them a "Like", in the same way that other users can follow us.
THE 3D TOUCH FUNCTIONS THAT VINE HAS INCLUDED FOR THE MOMENT ARE LIMITED TO BEING ACCESSIBLE FROM THE APP ICON
In the app we find a very familiar aesthetic, since it has 5 icons at the bottom. These icons are Home, where we will see the videos of the users we follow; Explore, where we will see videos randomly based on our tastes; the icon of a camera that is used to create or upload a video; Activity that will be where we see the interactions with our videos; and finally Profile.
To upload or create a video we will have to press the Video Camera icon, and from there we will be able to upload videos from our device or record them at the moment. One of the features is that we can add music to the videos, either from the music library of our device or from the selection of the app.
The integration that the app has made with 3D Touch at the moment is the simplest, since it only allows you to use the 3D Touch functions by clicking on the icon on the home screen of our device. The functions we found are “Make a Vine” and “Explore”. With the first option we will automatically access to create or upload a video, and with the second we will access the explore tab.
Although the potential of 3D Touch hasn't been fully tapped into by Vine yet, most apps have started by adding those features and then adding more. If you don't have the app yet, you can download it from here.
