It is increasingly common to see videos in our social network feeds in which friends or acquaintances appear lip-syncing a song or phrase with an application such as Dubsmash, and Musical.ly has taken advantage of the pull by creating a social network dedicated solely to music videos.
With Musical.ly we can record videos and add music to them, which we can choose from the selection offered by the app or from our own music library, and then share them on the app or on our social networks.
MUSICAL.LY ALLOWS YOU TO CREATE MUSICAL VIDEOS BY ADDING MUSIC AND FILTERS TO SHARE THEM IN THE APP ITSELF
To start using the app, we will have to register and create an account. When we are registered we will be able to access all the content and we will see that the app's interface is very similar to that of other social networks, with all the elements with which to interact at the bottom of the screen.
The first icon is to access our feed, and to see which are the featured videos of the app. By clicking on the second icon we can search by users or hashtags. The third icon is used to create and upload a video. Finally, the fourth and fifth icons are used to access our notifications and our profile respectively.
To create a video we have to press the third icon, the one with the “+” symbol. When we press it we will see three options: Select music, Film first and From the library.If we select "Select music" we can choose music from the selection of lists of Musical.ly or from the music we have on our device, to later record the video.
If we choose "Film First" we will record the video and then add the music. To record we will have to press and hold the pink button with the camera icon. Then we can trim the video, add filters and add the songs. The same happens if we choose "From the library", and with that option we can choose a series of photos to create a slideshow, or choose a video.
With any of the three options, we can add hashtags and tag our friends. We can also choose to save the video as private, publish it, and share it on various social networks.
