When Apple introduced AirDrop to share files between iOS devices and between OS X, we all thought it was a great innovation but no one foresaw the reality: that it fails more than a shotgun at a fair. If you are one of those who fails AirDrop ImageTransfer is a good option that does its job to send photos and videos via Wi-Fi.
ImageTransfer allows us to send photos or videos from our iOS device to other iOS devices or computers, as well as being able to send them to Flicker, Dropbox and Google Drive.
To be able to transfer from one iOS device to another, all we need is that both devices have ImageTransfer installed. When we have the app installed from the device we want to send the photos from, we have to click on "Send Photos" on the main screen of the app, and choose the ones we want.
Once we have chosen or chosen the photos we have to hit Send in the upper right and press "Send to iPhone or iPad" and on the next screen choose the name of the device. If we have carried out the steps correctly, the photos sent will be automatically saved in the roll of the other iPhone or iPad, if it has the app open.
ImageTransfer is a most useful application to transfer images between iOS devices
To send images to a computer, the steps to follow are the same as for an iOS device, but in the drop-down menu we must press "Send to a computer", and enter in a browser on the computer to which we want to send some of the two addresses that we see on the next screen.
We can also send photos from a computer to an iOS device and to do this, with the app open on the iPhone or iPad we have to click on "Receive photos" on the main screen, go to one of the addresses that indicates from a browser on the computer and use the image upload form on said website.
ImageTransfer is available in free version and plus version, which has all features. You can download the free version from here, and the Plus for €2.99 from here.
