Viber is one of the best messaging apps on the App Store . Without a doubt, it is one of the most complete, but it is not one of the most used. Why?
The issue is that this application was born as one of the first applications that offered free calls over the Internet, but seeing that this market was not as attractive as the messaging market, WhatsApp was early in offering free messages and Viber was late in offering this service. If this had not been the case, we guarantee that today, we would all use Viber to send messages since it works like a charm and has a fantastic interface.
Now, after its latest update, it once again highlights the shortcomings that WhatsApp has, for example, adding functions that many of us would like to have in the most used chat app on the planet.
WHAT'S NEW IN VIBER 5.6.5:
Now Viber allows us to attach, in our conversations, any type of file, document, presentation. This feature will surely be adapted by WhatsApp in the future, as we discussed in this article .
One of the new things that we all surely miss in WhatsApp is the possibility to delete sent messages right? Well now in Viber 5.6.5 it can be done, even after sending them. This will surely avoid many misunderstandings and bad feelings.
Interactive notifications are finally added, with which we can reply to any message from any app or screen we are on.
The ability to search for contacts and conversations Viber,from SpotLight Search is also implemented.
And finally, we've added the ability to send photos and videos directly from iCloud.
As you can see, a lot of new features that, some of them, we miss in the instant messaging app that we all use, right? Don't you want to switch to Viber?
