WhatsApp adds new features and redesigns the settings menu

The first thing that stands out is the redesign of the menu SETTINGS,which adds icons to each of the options available on this configuration screen:

We can see that it's much more colorful and, to be honest, this new format hasn't hurt.

IMPROVEMENTS IN THE WHATSAPP SETTINGS MENU:

Within this menu, the new option “Featured messages” stands out, where all the messages that we mark as featured in our conversations will be stored. This option is very interesting since we will have direct access to them and we avoid, as happened before, having to access each conversation to see those messages marked with the star.

Another thing that caught our attention is that the "Network Status" option in which it told us if the WhatsApp network was operational or not has disappeared. Normally it always appeared as CONNECTED, but it is true that when the application worked badly, it was a snitch that let us know if the WhatsApp platform was operational or not.

The old PROFILE option also disappears and now we will have access to it by clicking on the first option that appears in Settings, where our photo, name and status can be seen.

A shortcut has also been added to the "Data usage" menu from which we can configure the management of mobile data consumption in the app.

3D TOUCH IMPROVEMENTS:

Now Peek and Pop emotes are available in chats FINALLY!!!. Now we can get more out of this function, only available on the new iPhone 6S.

PREVIEW LINKS IN CHAT:

Surely we all share links daily, through this app, right? Now, WhatsApp developers allow us to show a preview of all the links we want and share.

This will be optional, since when pasting in the chat, and before sharing it, the option to send the preview or send only the URL address will appear.

This will make all the links we want to share in chats much more attractive.

Without further ado, and waiting for the complete redesign of the WhatsApp interface that we told you about a few weeks ago, we invite you to read more news on this, your website.
