Google Maps has become our ideal travel companion, because the company Google has achieved very reliable maps, as well as being really intuitive. A point in its favor is that they are constantly updated, so we will never get lost somewhere or not find a restaurant, museum
To all this we add that we can now save the maps offline and use them even if we don't have an Internet connection. Undoubtedly a great advance and something that more than one will come in handy.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD MAPS IN GOOGLE MAPS
First of all we tell you that we have been testing in several places, and not all of them let us download the maps. Surely with the passage of time we will be able to have access to all cities and countries.
That's why we made the example with "New Zealand". First of all we look for the city that we want to download and once we have found it, we click on the name of the city that appears at the bottom , from which we can see images of the itself, the traffic, the temperature
By clicking here, the menu will be displayed from which we will see everything that we have mentioned, but also, in the upper right part we have 3 vertical points. Click there.
A new menu will now open in which the “Save offline map” tab appears,it will be here where we should click.
So far it only lets us save a small part of the map, so it's very normal for it to tell us that the map is too big and that we should get a little closer to the part we want to save. All we have to do is zoom in the map a bit until it lets us click on download.
The option to “Download” will appear at the bottom (in gray if we need to enlarge the image or in blue if we can already download). Click on this tab and it will ask us to name the map we are saving, we name it and we will have the map saved.
To access these maps in Google Maps, click on the 3 horizontal bars that appear right next to the search bar, at the top. After pressing, we select the tab "Your sites" and right at the bottom we find the maps that we have saved and renamed.
This way we can access these maps without having any type of Internet connection, as well as being a good option if we travel anywhere, since we will have saved the exact area of the place we are going to visit.
Therefore, if you want to save the maps in Google Maps of the places you frequent the most or of a place you plan to go to, this option is the most interesting and especially the fastest of all.
