The download statistics suggest that this great app is stagnating in the Store in our country and everything seems to be due to the good performance that the number 1 messaging app, WhatsApp, has been having in recent months.
It's true that the Telegram competitor, fails very occasionally but it does so with small errors that we don't know if they are from the application itself or from bugs that sometimes causes iOS 9 in some apps.What is true is that since Facebook bought it, it seems that the application crashes much less than before.
That is why the stagnation of the app to which we dedicate this article. WhatsApp reigns in conversations with family, friends, colleagues and Telegram has been relegated to the background and is used by many users who want to remove the "green app" from the screen of their iPhone , but they still can't do it due to the tremendous number of followers it has, which has led many of them to abandon the attempt.
In our case we use both applications, giving WhatsApp a more familiar use and Telegram, we focus more on less close contacts. This allows us to differentiate many of the messages that reach us daily. If they are from WhatsApp we know that they are messages from family and friends, if they reach us on Telegram we know that they are of a different nature. I'm sure many of you do the same.

Analyzing the graph we see how between the beginning of 2014 and until mid-April of that same year, Telegram was number 1 in the general ranking of downloads and in the category of Social networks. All this was at the time when WhatsApp failed more than a fair shotgun and led to the "blue app" beginning to take away market share.
From April to July 2014, the app had a constant drop in the ranking due to the return of proper functioning to WhatsApp. Its lowest point was being at 145 in the global download ranking and at 13 in the Social Networks ranking.
Since then and until today, Telegram has remained in constant stagnation and its positions oscillate in the global ranking of downloads, between position 55 and 140 and in the category of social networks between the posts 7 and 15.
Despite being a much better application than Whatsapp, we believe that, for now, it will have a hard time to snatch the Top of this type of application. WhatsApp is fortunate to have been the first to appear and the first to offer free messages. His adaptation, from the beginning, has been spectacular.
In many other App Stores, the behavior of the app has been very similar to that of our country, but France and the US stand out, where the app seems to be on the rise. It's going slowly, but you can see an increase in the number of downloads.
Too bad Telegram came out later, so we like this app.
