Afterpulse is a third-person shooter, in which we have to kill our opponents to get resources to get better weapons and equipment, in order to continue advancing through the different levels. Afterpulse presents us with two game modes, Training and Multiplayer Battle, which we can access at level 7.
The style of Afterpulse is the classic of shooters: we find ourselves with a more or less complex scenario, in which we find a huge number of hiding places where we can take shelter of our enemies, who must be defeated to obtain the highest score possible.The higher the score we obtain, and therefore, in a better position we finish the game, the more resources we will get.
For its part, the controls are very intuitive, since we only have to remember a total of 3 actions: lower left corner to move, lower right corner to shoot, and upper right corner to move the camera.
The lack of a story mode in Afterpulse can make it a bit repetitive
Despite all the customization possibilities that we find in Afterpulse, a story mode that engages the game more is missing, since although there are a considerable number of levels , it can become a bit repetitive due to the fact of continually doing the same thing.
The graphics of this game are impressive to say the least for a game intended for a mobile device, and it makes the most of the 2GB of RAM that the new iPhones have, but it must also be said that it works wonderfully on devices previous.
Afterpulse is available for free on the App Store, and although it includes in-app purchases, they are absolutely not necessary to enjoy this great game.
